Dominic Peckham

Born in Southampton Dominic is a BMus (Hons) Graduate in Singing from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama under the tuition of Stephen Robertson after leaving a scholarship place at Chetham’s School of Music.

Recent solo engagements include: 'L'Herault' in Massenet's 'Cendrillon' (Theatre Royal, Glasgow and Edinburgh Festival Theatre), 'The Armed Man' - Jenkins (The Royal Festival Hall) with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the ‘Light Of The World’ and 'Italian Passion' tours with Cappella Nova, Haydn’s ‘Creation’ (Dunblane Cathedral), Scarlatti’s ‘Stabat Mater’ for Stephen Cleobury, 'The Good Robber’ in Judith Weir’s ‘The Vanishing Bridegroom’ at The New Athenaeum Theatre, Glasgow and ‘Lehrbuben’ in Wagner’s ‘Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg’ (Usher Hall) with the BBC SSO for The Edinburgh International Festival.

Recent conducting engagements include: ‘Around The World In Eighty Minutes’ for The National Youth Training Choir of Great Britain (Coventry Cathedral) and Haydn’s ‘Creation’ and Handel’s ‘Israel in Egypt’ for The Edinburgh Singers and Orchestra (Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh) and Purcell’s ‘Dido and Aeneas’ (Culross Abbey), ‘Choral Classics’ for The Edinburgh Youth Choir (Usher Hall) and Chorus Master for ‘The Voice’ at the BBC Proms (The Royal Albert Hall).

Future conducting engagements include the world premier of Oliver Searle’s ‘Pride, Poverty and Pianos’ with the BBC SSO (City Halls, Glasgow) ‘iSing’ a UK Choral Workshop programme throughout 2007 and The Gala Re-Launch Concert for The Royal Festival Hall, London.

Dominic is The A.B.R.S.M Post Graduate Scholar 2006/07.
